Reading and learning about such a wonderful family has only deepened my sadness that the world will no longer be blessed by their talents and energy. They will have left a big hole, I’m sure. I promise to treasure my own grandchildren, who are Sam and Veronica’s ages, just that much more every day. Please accept heartfelt condolences from BC for a truly shocking tragedy.
Although we did not know the family, we are very saddened by this tragedy and we are thinking of the family, their friends and the community of Palo Alto.

Sad to say that I will be out of town and cannot attend the memorial.
I saw the article of this tragedy in the local Palo Alto newspaper when I was eating ice cream with my kids the other day and just couldn’t believe this happened to such a wonderful family. I knew Ana-Maria from when she was an applications engineer at Philips – fun, outgoing, knowledgeable and respected. I saw her a few times after Philips at Whole Foods in Palo Alto when I was shopping. She’ll be remembered. God bless her and Robert’s extended families.
